Very Light Ash Blonde
I'm obsessed with my hair. Not in an "oh my gosh! my hair is so amazing" type of obsession, but more of the - "my hair needs my attention or else I'll only have 4 strands" kind. When I had my very first color, I was adamant that it will be in a good salon even if I had to pay a lot. Reason is that, salon professionals would know what to do and what to use, also, I have thin hair and as much as I wanna style it, I have to be careful as well. 2-3 salon color sessions later, I have found the amazing use of DIY hair colors.
I scoured the internet with all kinds of information and reviews from different blogs about this matter. Almost 2 weeks ago, I started with my first process. First of all, my hair grows really fast, only a couple of months and you can see more than 2 inches of my roots. So, based on what I've read, to really get the color you want, you must bleach your hair first to get the same color on the box. What I wanted is just to cover the roots and tame the orange hue of my hair color.
So, I wanted to achieve a darker and a bit dirtier brown for my hair without bleaching. Instead of picking out the exact color I wanted, I decided to get the ash blonde. Obviously, I don't want to have grayish- ash blonde hair and it would be impossible as well, I went with this shade because it will somehow mattify the orange and turn it back to a brownish/deep golden hue.
Last week I used a different dye just to start taming the orange tone. Then, today I finally got 2 boxes of Lolane which cost me Php 129/box. It's pretty cheap, although it doesn't come with plastic hand gloves.

I originally wanted to get Garnier's Nutrisse but the color available were all black. It's pretty easy to do, no itchyness at all. I let it stay for 30 minutes for full coverage.
